GREEN STRATEGIES FOR BUILDING DESIGN
Author's Note
This module was a fun learning experience as we were tasked to explore various passive sustainable strategies through case studies and comparative analysis. Besides passive green strategies that can be adapted locally, we were also given a chance to explore various passive and active strategies for buildings in other climatic zones such as in assignment 1. The exploration done throughout this module has aid me with my final project for other modules such as Architectural Design Studio IUV and Sustainable Living.
Hence, I hope to bring forward all that I've learned into my final year of degree and in the future as a designer/architect.

Reflection :
This assignment was rather interesting as we were tasked to explore passive design strategies for two buildings in contrasting climates to compare how the building's passive and active design features responds to the climate. Based on our research we did a comparative analysis on both buildings which has aid us in understanding the topic better.
In a nutshell, this assignment was enlightening and fun as I managed to learn beyond my country's climatic typology which has aid me in my other module assignments.

Reflection :
Assignment 3 was based on our final model for studio which is helpful as it has helped me in my studio module, to think and incorporate passive and active design strategies as part of the design process which made it easier to complete the final assignment for this module.
Throughout my studio assignment I was keeping in mind the passive green strategies we learned in assignment 1 and how it could be applied in my building's design. Hence, this assignment has shaped the way I think to have more depth and considerations towards green, passive and active strategies.

By understanding the detrimental effects of the built environment, I have a sense of responsibility towards nature and its elements by taking in consideration the impact of building design and how to reduce it negative effects through green strategies.
